Blogging and mopeds… in my opinion

Writing a blog is like riding a moped. Those of us who do not know how to do it find it to be a magical feat; something that mere mortals could not possibly do. People who can do this can’t understand why everyone doesn’t do it all the time. They think that it is a simple thing to do. Right now I’m getting on the moped, wondering which end I sit on, and where the steering controls are. I need to blog, and I have no idea how to start. But my publisher, Glass House Press (a place where everyone rides mopeds all the time) is telling me that Gauntlet, my first novel of international intrigue, scheduled for release in the spring of 2009, will not fare well unless I blog. Go figure. So here I go.
